About Larissa Luna
Educational Leadership Rooted in Service
Larissa Luna is an experienced special education professional and ARD facilitator with nearly 20 years of experience supporting students, families, educators, and school districts throughout Texas.
Since joining Harlandale ISD in 2005, Larissa has served in multiple roles supporting student services and special education programs. In 2011, she transitioned into the role of ARD Facilitator, where she has spent more than a decade facilitating Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings ranging from routine annual reviews to highly complex and legally sensitive cases involving district legal counsel.
With extensive experience in special education compliance, conflict resolution, collaborative problem-solving, and student-centered decision-making, Larissa is recognized for her ability to guide productive conversations that keep the focus where it belongs—on student success.
Today, through Luna Educational Services, she provides independent ARD facilitation and special education consulting services to school districts, charter schools, and families across Texas.
Education & Credentials
Larissa earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from St. Mary's University, graduating with Distinguished Honors. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Mary's University and completed Principal Certification coursework through Wayland Baptist University.

My mission is to support school districts, educators, and families through collaborative, legally compliant, and student-centered educational planning.
I believe every student deserves access to meaningful educational opportunities and a team committed to helping them succeed. By fostering respectful communication, productive collaboration, and informed decision-making, I help educational teams navigate complex situations while maintaining a focus on positive outcomes for students.
Whether supporting a school district, charter school, or family, my goal is to create an environment where all voices are heard, collaboration is encouraged, and decisions are made in the best interest of students.
A Personal Note
As a lifelong advocate for students and public education, I am passionate about helping schools and families work together to support children with diverse learning needs. I believe that strong partnerships, open communication, and mutual respect create the foundation for student success.
Every ARD meeting represents an opportunity to build understanding, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful educational pathways for students. It is a responsibility I take seriously and a mission I am honored to serve.
